It is always a delight to showcase India’s vast culinary heritage to the world. And there is nowhere more appropriate to do so than the legendary culinary hotspot—the city of Amritsar. The inaugural edition of the World Heritage Cuisine Summit & Food Festival, held between October 12 and 14 last year at the historic Qila Gobindgarh (Gobindgarh Fort) near Amritsar, turned out to be an exceptionally fun affair as we tucked into some delicious gourmet fare. We were also privy to insights from over 100 maestros of the culinary world from 40 countries.
