National Young Chefs Conference – 2016

national young chefs conference

The National Young Chefs Conference (NYCC) is the first-ever convention in the world that brought together 500+ young chefs under one roof.

The convention was organized by Young Chefs Association of India (YCAI), a constituent of Indian Federation of Culinary Associations (IFCA) working exclusively for the benefit of young culinary talent of the country. Though IFCA has organized scores of training sessions, workshops and conferences for young chefs in the past, this convention is the first one organized on a national level for the benefit of young chefs.

Future generation of the culinary world

IFCA’s Young Chefs Association of India (YCAI) is a community of emerging culinary professionals formed with an objective to nurture young culinary talent in India and provide them a platform to explore new perspectives in the national and international culinary space. YCAI functions directly under the aegis of IFCA Presidium, though YCAI has a full-fledged governing body comprising of President, Vice President, General Secretary, Treasurer, and Executive Committee Members.

The two-day culinary extravaganza features workshops, symposium and training session on a wide spectrum of topics handled by international speakers who have inspired scores of young chefs across the world. Open sessions for debate on relevant and stimulating issues of interest to the Industry are part of this event. Opportunity to meet and interact with industry leaders on a one-to-one note makes this event very special.

FOOD FOR BODY, MIND, AND SOUL

There was a Spiritual talk touching upon the metaphysics of human beings by Swami Ishwarananda Giri of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India on how the evolved personal-self of each of the chefs could make a great difference in the Chefs professional lives. It would be a very essential input for every culinary student and also the young chef to etch their own future branding positions.

The Convention provided a very rare opportunity for the Culinary Students to listen to & meet the internationally renowned Chefs
